Laser Distance Meters

DISTO E7300

The Leica DISTO™ E7300 is a 7 measurement mode LDM that is accurate to 1/16th of an inch. It features a backlit LCD display and an intelligent end piece. At just under 4 1/2 inches tall and weighing in at 4 1/2 ounces with batteries, the E7300 is rugged yet compact enough to keep handy, making it an ideal LDM for finish carpenters or interior designers.

Measuring the diagonal distance of rough openings with a tape -- getting it to bend  just the right way to get both ends all the way into the corners - is a chore.  Measuring large openings is just a straight-up two-person job. The E7300 eliminates these hassles and makes it easy for one person to get accurate diagonals, regardless of distance, using its intelligent end piece and min/max mode.

The average accuracy for a DISTO is 1/16th of an inch. Your mileage may vary -- the individual certificate that ships with each DISTO will tell you by how much -- but if you're banging out studs with a chop saw blade that has a 1/8" kerf, you probably don't need your DISTO showing measurements down to a 16th or a 32nd. The E7300 has 13 unit of measure display modes, from thousandths of a millimeter to a 1/4 of an inch, so you can dial in the level of accuracy you need for the job at hand.

The E7300 can calculate area, volume and remote height or width using the Pythagorean function. The E7300 saves the last 10 screens, so you can use the add/subtract function to fine tune measurements or combine them to get your total area.

DISTO D2

Our newest take on the classic Leica DISTO™ D2.

Now with Bluetooth®, a fully integrated intelligent endpiece, a bright white display and an ISO certified measuring engine that drives 1/16" accuracy and 330 foot measuring range.
The Leica DISTO™ D2 is a 7 measurement mode LDM accurate to 1/16 of an inch. It features an intuitive back-lit LCD display in a 4oz package that is small enough to fit in your pocket
.
Use Bluetooth® to send measurements into apps running on mobile devices.

The D2 measures from its base by default and can be configured to measure from the front.
Flip out the intelligent endpiece to 90º to hook onto outside corners or extend the endpiece fully for inside corners. The D2 will automatically measure from the end of its flip-out endpiece when fully extended. Combined with the Min/Max function, the endpiece allows you to get the tool all the way into corners for accurate diagonal measurements as shown in this Intelligent Endpiece video.
The D2 calculates area and volume, and remembers the last 10 measurements taken. Use the Add/Subtract capability to combine measurements to get a precise reading of the total wall area of a room (aka "the painter function").

The D2 includes a Pythagoras function for indirect height or width measurements. However, in a tool this size that cannot be mounted to a tripod we recommend using the Pythagoras for estimates or rough measurements. If you need precise indirect measurements, an LDM with a tilt sensor is your best bet.

DISTO E7400x

The Leica DISTO™ E7400x is a 9 measurement mode LDM  intended for use on active job sites. It features a precision laser module, a backlit LCD display, a tilt sensor, and a ruggedized chassis.

The E7400x has a 2 meter drop rating, doesn't mind getting dirty or wet, and we have loaded it up with technology that makes it easy to get hard measurements like:

Rough openings: Metal tapes have a way of bending just as you almost get them into the far corner, making it difficult to measure the diagonal of a wide opening by yourself.

Obstacles: Straight measurements can be hard to get on active sites.Smart Horizontal allows you to shoot on an angle to get over or under obstacles, and then uses data from the tilt sensor to subtract the extra distance to arrive at the level horizontal measurement. Not only does the DISTO do all the math, you don't have to move a stack of drywall.

DISTO D810 Touch

The Leica DISTO™ D810 Touch is a 15 measurement mode LDM accurate to 1/16th of an inch. It features a touch screen UI,  integrated digital camera, a tilt sensor, and Bluetooth Smart.

The D810's exclusive Measure in Picture (MIP) technology can determine the height, width, area, diameter, or circumference of an object in a picture taken by the D810.  Bracket your target using pointers on the touch screen to remotely measure the width of a second story window, the area of a billboard, or the diameter of an above-ground tank.

With a 600'-plus range, the D810 Touch can acquire a target that is well beyond your eye's ability to see the laser point, especially outside. The point finder -- a 4x zoom digital camera with cross hairs on the LCD display -- solves this problem.

The farther you can shoot, the more obstacles there are to get in the way. Smart Horizontal allows you to shoot over obstacles so you can measure the level horizontal distance to your target.
